Portioned ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Portioned restaurant bookkeeping application at app.portioned.pro. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Portioned:

• Account information: your name and email address when you sign up.
• Financial data: transaction records, invoices, and accounting data that you upload or import into the app. This data is stored in your connected Dropbox account and in our secure database.
• QuickBooks data: if you connect your QuickBooks Online account, we access transaction data, vendor information, and account data solely to import it into Portioned. We store OAuth tokens to maintain your connection.
• Usage data: basic logs for debugging and error tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Portioned service.
• To import and display your financial data within the app.
• To send transactional emails (e.g. team invitations).
• To improve the app based on usage patterns.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

Portioned integrates with the following third-party services:

• Intuit QuickBooks Online — for transaction import. Governed by Intuit's Privacy Statement.
• Dropbox — for financial data storage. Governed by Dropbox's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — for authentication and structured data storage.
• Resend — for transactional email delivery.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your financial data is stored in your own Dropbox account. Authentication data and invoice records are stored in a secured Supabase database with row-level security. OAuth tokens for third-party services are encrypted at rest.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@portioned.pro.
